Meet Annette!
Reading Renegade
I'm a podcasting, book hoarding, horror nerd that loves to travel. I geek out at comic con with my wonderfully geeky family and am at my happiest having a duvet day and eating garbage with my boys!
Personal Heroes:
I know it sounds cheesy but my family and friends are my heroes. I feel very lucky to know them and to get to spend time with them.
Item She Can’t Live Without:
It's sad to admit but my phone. It has my books, music, podcasts, random note thoughts and games to name but a few ways to avoid human interaction.
How She Got Into Horror:
My mother was a Hammer Horror fan so there was videos, books even an album around the house. I would wait until my parents were out and watch them as I wasn't allowed to. When I was a teenage I was put on 2 weeks bed rest due to an illness and I convinced my mum to rent all the 80's slashers for me and I devoured every franchise and was hooked for life.
What She Likes About Horror:
I feel that it is the most creative genre with such a rich history and so much variety. It never fails to surprise and intrigue me. I find it endlessly fascinating.
